Euro 2012 Live Stream: When and Where to Catch Wednesday's Group B Action

Austin GreenJun 13, 2012

The Group of Death will kick off their second games at Euro 2012 on Wednesday, with Portugal facing a confident Denmark side, followed by Germany taking on the Netherlands in what should be one of the best matches of the entire tournament.

We knew this would be a highly competitive group when the drawings were announced, as all four teams are currently in the top 10 of the FIFA world rankings. They haven't disappointed, with all sides showing creativity and quality at various points in their opening matches.

The four haven't produced as many goals as I've expected, with Germany defeating Portugal 1-0 and Denmark upsetting the Dutch by the same score.

Still, there's always the potential for a shootout when these four teams take the pitch.

Here is everything you need to know for today's Group B action.

Denmark (3 points) vs. Portugal (0 points)

Start Time: 12:00 p.m. ET

TV Coverage: ESPN

Live Stream: ESPN3, WatchESPN

Last Meeting: Denmark 2 - Portugal 1 (Euro 2012 qualifying, October 2011)

Preview

After being widely regarded as the weakest team in Group B, the Danes proved they would be no pushover in their opening match against the Netherlands.

Led by Daniel Agger, their defense was successful in stopping the potent Dutch offense, although the Netherlands helped by squandering a host of easy chances.

Offensively, Denmark got a brilliant effort from Michael Krohn-Dehli. He was constantly attacking on the left wing, and he scored the only goal of the game, ripping the ball through the legs of keeper Maarten Stekelenburg. If the Danes are going to beat Portugal, they will need a similar performance from Krohn-Dehli today.

The Portugese need a strong effort from Nani. The world-class winger was unusually quiet against Germany, often leaving Cristiano Ronaldo to attack on his own.

Nani has scored three career goals against the Danes, so you can expect him to be confident and active throughout today's game.

Final Prediction: Portugal 2 - Denmark 1

Netherlands (0 points) vs. Germany (3 points)

Start Time: 2:45 p.m. ET

TV Coverage: ESPN

Live Stream: ESPN3, WatchESPN

Last Meeting: Germany 3 - Netherlands 0 (International friendly, November 2011)

Preview

The Dutch will be desperate today, as a loss to their bitter rivals would all but assure them an early—and humiliating—exit from Euro 2012.

Despite losing to Denmark, the Netherlands didn't do a lot wrong. Their passing was perfect, their movement fluid, their attackers creative. The only thing they couldn't do was put the ball in the net, which, obviously, is the only thing that matters at the end of the day.

Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben each missed a host of chances. If they don't do better today, they won't survive the group stage.

Meanwhile, Germany wasn't pretty in their victory over Portugal, but they did enough to win. I'm expecting their attack to be more visually appealing in this match, with Mesut Ozil, Thomas Muller and Miroslav Klose carving up the Dutch defense like they did in November.

Final Prediction: Netherlands 1 - Germany 3
