Shaquille O'Neal Video: Watch Shaq Pound Beer in Chinese Commercial

Gabe ZaldivarMay 25, 2012

The Chinese continue to outsource their basketball-fueled commercials to out-of-shape Americans. The only prerequisite seems to be that you once played All-Star ball in the NBA.

We recently came across a brilliant ad in which Tracy McGrady drank some Chinese brew and played some basketball.

As you can see from those comments, people are a tad touchy when you salt a player that was once an All-Star player.

Not being one to learn my lesson, let's take a moment to dish on Shaq.

The commercial starts with two foes about to get their basketball on, and that's when one turns into a far more formidable opponent.

Our protagonist decides that he is not going to be outdone and turns into...Shaquille O'Neal. Yes, if I was having a pickup game and had one wish, it would be to turn into the 2012 version of Shaq.

In reality, I would have to actually give some thought to maybe taking Eddy Curry's form over O'Neal at this point.

Shaq looks far more like Oliver Miller than he ever has, and that makes me sad emoticon.

As for the beer commercial, it's short, sweet and to the point. Drinking beer is far more refreshing than playing hoops.

At least, that's what I got from it.

Chinese beer makers are on a roll right now, but they may want to plan their athletes a decade before hand.

Follow me on Twitter and we can fight about it.
