LA Lakers: Metta World Peace Grieves Playoff Loss by Partying It Up at Club
Whenever I was sent to my room by my parents, I was expected to do everything short of enjoy my punishment. Metta World Peace is well within his rights to have a great time during his suspension, but I don't have to enjoy watching it.
World Peace is in the middle of serving his seven-game suspension for trying to flick off a James Harden from his elbow.
His suspension has featured a spot on Conan O'Brien, some weeknight partying at the club and, it seems, a very successful trip to the movie theaters.

Similar reactions to The Avengers aside, I have some beef with the NBA's go-to crazy guy. His latest act of frivolity was hitting the clubs right after the latest Lakers' loss in the playoffs.
TMZ reports on MWP Watch 2012 that the Lakers' forward was at Avalon nightclub around 10:30 p.m., just after his team was bricking the final shots of a surprisingly close game.
I am not about to say MWP should be under house arrest, because there is no reason any of us should care where or what World Peace is doing.
My brain tells me that he should be able to live on a golf course for a week, fly to Hawaii or do any other relaxing thing he sees fit.
If the man wants to vacation, so be it.
The illogical side of me is good and pissed when I see a player that could be helping his team instead making light on national TV and hitting the clubs.
He is supposed to be in his room thinking about what he has done, not playing with his toys. At least, that's how this would have went if World Peace were five and he was being reprimanded by a parent.
However, we are all grown and we can be adult about this.
World Peace can do as he damn well pleases, because it's not like he would help this Lakers squad anyway. They seem to be just fine losing this series all by themselves.
