El Classico and the Best European Club Matches of the Weekend

This weekend sees some of the best races for top positions around Europe come to a head.

Spain will see their biggest clubs battle for a shot at La Liga supremacy.

England has great matches in both of its top leagues, while Germany and Italy have great league title and Champions League position battles about to commence.

One team also is vying to keep their season long unbeaten streak alive.

This is set to be a great few days of action, so come along for the ride through the best the weekend has to offer from seven of the top leagues in Europe.

Bordeaux vs Marseille

Time: 3:00 PM EST Saturday April 21st

Venue: Stade Chaban Delmas

League: French Ligue 1 Oranje

Synopsis: A few years ago this would be a hugh top of the table battle. However, this season has seen both Bordeaux and Olympic Marseille have difficulty even reaching the middle of the table.

This match will be more about bragging rights than anything else.

Moscow Derby: Dinamo Moscow vs CSKA Moscow

Venue: Arena Khimki

League: Russian Premier League

Synopsis: It is always a tough battle when any two clubs from Moscow come face to face in Russia's biggest venue.

CSKA are hoping to keep making progress at returning to the Russian title.

Southampton vs Middlesbrough

Venue: St. Mary's Stadium

League: English Npower Championship

Synopsis: Southampton are looking to hold onto the second place spot and guarantee their Premier League position for next season with a victory. A draw would see them almost locked in, but West Ham would still have a mathematical chance if they also win this weekend.

Middlesbrough on the other hand are fighting for a late chance to grab the final playoff spot to try to make a shock return to the top of the table.

London Derby: Arsenal vs Chelsea

Venue: Emirates Stadium

League: English Premier League

Synopsis: Arsenal and Robin Van Persie got the best of Chelsea when they gave them the Blues at home in front of a stunned Stamford Bridge.

Now the resurgent Blues under new manager Roberto Di Matteo will hope to return the favor and send Arsenal to a second straight defeat when they travel to the Emirates this weekend.

Juventus vs A.S. Roma

Venue: Juventus Stadium

League: Italian Serie A

Synopsis: Juventus are yet to lose a match in the Serie A regular season and are holding strong at the top of the Italian table.

AS Roma are four points shy of the Champions League places at the moment. Their last match with Juventus in the league saw them secure a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olympico.

Borussen Derby: Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Venue: Signal Iduna Park

League: German Bundesliga

Synopsis: The Borussia Derby sees Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table facing their local rivals Borussia Monchengladbach also in the top four.

A victory for Dortmund would almost guarantee their second straight Bundesliga title, while a win for Monchengladbach would see them jump to third in the league.

El Classico: FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Venue: Nou Camp

League: Spanish La Liga

Synopsis: The second leg of the 2012 La Liga Classico series between Spanish football's fiercest rivals could be the deciding factor in the hunt for another Spanish league title.

Real Madrid raced off to the lead, but Barcelona have clawed their way back into the fight and a victory for the Catalan giants would see them only a point behind Madrid.

This weekend has some great match's as we near the last month of the season.
