5 Most Bizarre Fan Photos from This Season

Josh BenjaminJun 1, 2018

The NBA is nothing without its passionate fans. Some of these people are quiet in their devotion to their team, going to the game and merely applauding with the occasional, "Woo-hoo!!!"

Others, on the other hand, take fandom to a whole new level. Take New York Knicks superfan Spike Lee, for example. He's at every home game and even follows the team on the road sometimes, always wearing his signature Landry Fields jersey. Seeing as how Fields is anything but a superstar, that's true devotion right there.

And, of course, there are the fans who break out the body paint.  Here are five insane superfan photos from the NBA season, as Bleacher Report honors those who love their team, good or bad.

Kobe's Masked Fan

1 of 5

For those who may have missed it, Kobe Bryant actually wore a protective face mask for a few games this season, after suffering a concussion during the All-Star Game.

Here we have a man who loves the Black Mamba with all his heart, so much so he's willing to sit through a game wearing a similar mask as his face sweats not only under the hot lights of the arena, but also on the TV camera.

Random Lakers fan, I salute you!

Sacramento's Three Amigos

OK, so let me get this straight. The Kings have fans who are willing to undergo the difficulty of painting their faces, and the Maloofs STILL want out?

Something here doesn't add up, because this photo alone proves why the team should stay right where it is.

Spike Lee's Interesting Jersey

Item No. 97,573 on the list, "How We Know That Spike Lee Has Too Much Money": he somehow got his hands on a Jeremy Lin high school jersey.

I don't even want to know how much that costs, but I vote that when the term "Linsanity" makes it into the dictionary, this picture be shown!

I'm sorry, but you have to respect a guy who's willing to go out in public wearing a suit as ridiculous as this one.

Clipper Darrell, we're glad to have you back at the Staples Center!

Jeremy Lin's Special Lady Friend

Well then...uh...racy much? Either way, this fine lady deserves major bonus points for the creativity, not to mention making the best Linsanity-related sign EVER.
