Bobby Petrino: Cell Phone Records Further Confirm Jessica Dorrell Relationship

Six months' worth of cell phone records have confirmed what is already common knowledge by now: Former Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino was heavily involved with a 25-year-old former volleyball player named Jessica Dorrell.

The Associated Press has acquired Petrino's university-cell-phone records via a Freedom of Information Act request. The AP has found that Petrino was, not surprisingly, in "frequent contact" with Dorrell. 

Petrino and Dorrell were involved in a motorcycle accident on April 1. He attempted to cover up her involvement in the accident and the relationship the two of them had, which ended up costing him his job. Petrino was fired on Tuesday.

The AP notes that the records show a 16-minute phone conversation between Petrino and Dorrell on the day of the accident. They also show a 22-minute conversation between the two of them the day after the accident.

The records date all the way back to September 12, 2011, and they show that Petrino and Dorrell were in contact with one another as far back as that very day.

The AP's note that the contact between the two parties was "frequent" is not an exaggeration. Robbie Neiswanger of the Arkansas News Bureau offered a glimpse of the records via Twitter:

Additionally, Chris Bahn of ArkansasSports360.com has posted a photo of one of the pages that shows how often Petrino and Dorrell were in contact.

Petrino admitted in a statement (see AP report) after he was placed on administrative leave last week that he and Dorrell had carried out an "inappropriate relationship."

Deadspin.com, CBSSports.com and others have reported that Dorrell was engaged to be married in June.
