Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba is in a "critically ill condition" after collapsing during today's match against Tottenham.
According to the Guardian's Rob Smyth, the horrific scene started near the end of the first half when Muamba fell to the ground with no one around him.
There were CPR attempts to resuscitate the 23-year-old on the field for about 10 minutes before he was carried off on a stretcher.

The game was then postponed by referee Howard Webb, and the outlook appeared bleak for Muamba, who continued to receive CPR on his way to the hospital.
However, a couple hours after the game was stopped, Bolton released a statement regarding Muamba.
"''Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been admitted to the heart attack centre at London Chest hospital where he is currently in a critically ill condition in intensive care.
''No further information will be issued at this stage. The club has requested the media to respect his family's privacy at this time.''
