50 Worst Goalie Fails in World Football

Thomas AtzenhofferFeb 15, 2012

Goalies can be the biggest heroes on the pitch when they make a key save, or stop a penalty.

However, they can also make some of the biggest mistakes in the game, allowing the unthinkable to happen to their own side.

The pain of a keeper error can be felt throughout any side, and can truly be the most demoralizing event possible on the pitch in the heat of the action.

While some are just terrible, some manage to be kind of funny—at least for the neutrals in the crowd.

As a Liverpool supporter, I cringe at the memory of all of these, but there are few EPL stewards that have been better than Pepe Reina since he joined the Reds, so everyone unfortunately makes a gaffe or five.

If you can think of or find one that was missed, please add it in the comments below.
