NSD 2012: Will Dorial Green-Beckham Go Anywhere Besides Arkansas and Missouri?
Arguably the top prospect in the country, Dorial Green-Beckham's decision is between Arkansas and Missouri.
ESPN ranks him as the third ranked overall prospect whereas Rivals has him numero uno. His talent is off the charts at 6'6, 220-pounds because he has the size, speed (4.43) and strength (295 bench) to become a superstar.
Out of Spinrgfield, MO, he is a tad closer to the campus of Arkansas than to Missouri's, but is there another team that can shock the nation and snag this stud receiver?
No!
Oklahoma and Texas are the only other programs that are even on the blip radar for DGB. He wants to stay close to home and it is expected to be in the SEC.
Plus, the two schools have had zero whispers (it would be a bigger shock than LSU failing to cross mid-field against Alabama until the 4th quarter) with the experts saying Missouri has become the heavy favorite with Arkansas as a slight possibility.
Tyler Wilson, Bobby Petrino and the Razorbacks offense would love to have the next Andre Johnson line out wide, but the Missouri Tigers desperately needs a star like this if they expect to contend in the gauntlet known as the SEC.
The Tigers open their 2012 SEC season at home against the Georgia Bulldogs, which will likely be a top ten team in 2012.
Missouri has their star signal-caller returning in James Franklin, but he is losing the likes of star tight end Michael Egnew and receiver Wes Kemp and Jerrell Jackson.
Alongside T.J. Moe, Green-Beckham could give opposing SEC defensive backfields nightmares and the upside of DGB is eye-popping.
Dorial Green-Beckham is arguably the one player that is ready to make an immediate splash right away and he makes his final decision and announcement on ESPN U at 10:15 am ET.
