NBA Rumors: Deron Williams Shrugs off Super Secret Sources

From the land of covert operations and super secret spies comes a tale of one man being trailed, and he has no idea who is following him. The paranoid is Deron Williams, and he wants to know who all these damn sources are. 

Mike Vorkunov of the New Jersey Star-Ledger reports on the New Jersey Nets and the rampant rumors hitting the team. From Brook Lopez being dealt in the beginning of the season to Deron Williams packing his bags now, the team has been entrenched in rumors and trade innuendos. 

The questions continue, and Williams was asked about the latest brouhaha that has him settling on a summer list of teams that includes the Dallas Mavericks, NY Knicks or LA Lakers. 

When asked about the destinations he would go to if the team failed to bring Dwight Howard in a deal, Williams acted perplexed, then joked that he had no idea who all these sources were. 

"

"Did you hear it from me?" he inquired rhetorically this morning before shootaround.

"I don’t need to talk about it then. It’s another one of these sources. I don’t know who sources are."

But when his coached walked over towards him, he couldn't help but jest.

"Did you hear I have a list?" he called out to a nearby Avery Johnson.

"

Johnson got into the banter and asked if the sources had Williams going to his son's high school team. That is the point that reporters had to ask where all these crickets came from. 

When asked what he thought of making the Olympics despite Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups vying for the position, Williams stated: 

"

I hadn't thought about that until you just said it. I just like playing against those guys because they're the best. It's always fun matchups. Same division as Russ the last four years, so we've seen each other a lot.

"

So Williams has no idea who these source are, and he hasn't even thought about the Olympic squad and, and..."What is this basketball in my hands?" 

Williams plays aloof quite well, but back to those source. We all know the spy world offers some great advantages, but this worries me. 

Williams could be lying to us in not knowing who these sources are. I can only imagine he knows who he has discussed his summer plan with. Then again, these faceless men in black speaking to news outlets could be liars. Or Williams' phones are tapped in the most egregious misappropriation of federal power.

I will go with Williams just being tired of talking about this stuff and that he would rather scoff than delve seriously into trade rumors. 

Yes, that has to be it. If your names is Deron Williams, I would watch for trailing cars and mysterious men lurking, though.
