Kobe Bryant Divorce: Vanessa Bryant Completes Clean Mansion Sweep

Michael DixonAug 20, 2019

Those wondering exactly what has gotten into Kobe Bryant this season now may have an answer.

If you had taken this kind of a beating in a divorce, you would be mad too, and probably more determined to make anyone standing in your way in any other aspect of life look ridiculous.

TMZ is reporting that Kobe's soon to be ex-wife Vanessa has managed to score all three of the couple's mansions. One for her mother, one that they had been living in and one new mansion. All three are in the Newport Beach area.

We can throw the mansion of Vanessa's mother out. It makes sense that Vanessa would get to be the legal owner of that place. It wouldn't necessarily be fair to have her mother potentially punished for their divorce.

But taking a look at these others two, Vanessa managed a fantastic deal. She now has two mansions to go between. If you look at these houses, it appears as though you could spend five years not leaving the house, still not entering the same room more than once. But just in case Vanessa gets bored in five years, she now has a new mansion to occupy herself.

That must be a pretty luxurious life. It just makes the rest of us look extremely unambitious. The overwhelming majority of people in this country would love to live in a mansion someday. Vanessa is now the proud owner of three. Try that on for size.

So, the next time Kobe is going for 40 points and you're wondering just how a man who's been in the NBA for so long can still play at such a high level, realize this: He has to live in a world where his soon-to-be ex-wife and her mother get to live between three mansions. That has to be a little irritating.

If that wouldn't inspire you, nothing would.

If nothing else, he now has to play well so that he can afford the new mansion that he's buying for himself.

It is a rough life, for sure.
