Tampa Bay Lightning Mascot Video: Watch Bruins Fan Mix It Up with Thunderbug
I guess the Tampa Bay Lightning mascot has never heard the term "Don't poke the Bear," because after shooting some silly string on a Boston Bruins fan, he was immediately attacked.
What started as a funny prank turned into a hilarious few moments at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Tuesday, as the Lightning beat the Bruins 5-3 in their Eastern Conference Finals rematch.
The Bruins fan, who I must add was wearing the most awful looking Stanley Cup shirt, clearly overreacted by checking the mascot from behind and was rightly removed from the arena.

Calm down, bro. The Bruins won the Cup, relax. There's no need to attack the mascot.
I love how the Lightning mascot points to the exit as the fan is being ushered up the steps, and he even does it while the fan is next to him, prompting a short "in your face" moment.
Was this guy really talking trash to a mascot, though? That's pretty low, and is not typical of normal Boston sports fans, who are far more educated about sports to do dumb stuff like that.
The end of the video is priceless, as the Thunderbug rubs his eyes like the Bruins fan is crying. This was hilarious stuff, and is exactly the kind of shenanigans that make mascots funny and entertaining at sporting events.
I'm not surprised that he went after a Bruins fan because there were so many of them in the crowd to choose from. It reminded me of how many Red Sox fans visit the Tampa Bay Rays games each baseball season.
