LSU vs. Alabama: Players You Must Watch at All Times

Andrew KulhaJun 7, 2018

Do not take your eyes off of Trent Richardson and Morris Claiborne during the BCS National Championship Game.

Now, I understand that physically that is not possible, especially if you have to go to the bathroom. That being said, your diligence will be well worth it, as watching these two players alone is worth the price of admission—or your TV package at least.

The pressure to watch is notched up even more if you're an NFL fan of a team picking in the top 10, as these two will most likely be going high.

Not only will they be playing for the national championship, but they are also displaying their talents for the whole world to see and specifically for NFL teams to analyze

It's college football's biggest stage, and I have a feeling these two big-time players are going to play huge.

You better be watching, but what specifically should you be watching for?

Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

It doesn't get any better than Richardson at the college level. He's simply a beast, and I have a feeling he's going to have a huge game.

He put up 1,583 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year, but he also notched 327 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

He's honestly one of the shiftiest runners you'll see, and I don't think it would be unfair to compare him to Reggie Bush back in his heyday at USC.

Expect Richardson to play the game of his life. This game will be his legacy at Alabama.

Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

With Tryann Mathieu getting a majority of the attention on LSU's defense from a national level, there has been a slight tendency to look past Claiborne. I recommend you keep your attention on Claiborne, though, because this guy is a defensive beast.

He has the potential to be a shut-down corner in the NFL, and I expect he's going to play a huge role in stopping Alabama's offense.

He's a great playmaker, as evident by the six interceptions he notched this year, so don't be surprised if he comes up with a few in the national championship.
