Under Armour All-America Game 2012: Which Top Recruits Is Ohio State Targeting?

The Ohio State Buckeyes are back on the recruiting trail, as Urban Meyer has filled out his staff with an excellent combo of stout recruiters and excellent teachers. Look for Meyer and his staff to do a great job in Columbus.

On the trail, the Buckeyes have enjoyed a tremendous surge up the rankings thanks to a few high-profile commitments. Tonight's Under Armour All-America Game 2012 in Orlando will feature a few more of their targets.

Who are they?

Ifeadi Odenigbo, DE/OLB

Might as well put an asterisk by this one, as Odenigbo has pretty much eliminated Ohio State. However, that won't stop the Buckeyes from evaluating and going after the 6'4", 220-pond DE/OLB until NSD.

Odenigbo is thought to be down to Notre Dame, Stanford and Northwestern. I say Stanford lands him, although you can never count out one Urban Meyer until the name is signed on the LOI.

Cyrus Jones, WR/DB/RB

Cyrus Jones is another prospect with an asterisk next to his name for this list. Jones was supposed to take a trip to Ohio State, but it looks like that won't happen.

Alabama, Auburn and Virginia Tech are the main three, as the Buckeyes are on the outside looking in.

A 5'11", 185-pound speedster that can play WR, RB, DB and returner, Jones is a playmaker with the ball in his hands, but also could be a top-flight CB. His game is based on speed and quickness. 

Davonte Neal, WR/CB

Remember I mentioned that great staff Meyer has assembled? Here's where it could pay big dividends, as Neal is being recruited by a known hunter on the recruiting trail, coach Stan Drayton.

Drayton was instrumental during the days of Meyer's all-time great recruiting classes at Florida and is now with him at Ohio State. Neal will visit Columbus next week and Arkansas on the 20th. Notre Dame saw him in December.

A 5'10", 175-pounder from Arizona, Neal is one of the speediest players in America and could be a slot WR or cover corner.
