Alabama vs LSU Predictions: Fans Will Be Disgusted by over-Hyped Rematch
Just when you thought bowl season couldn't get any worse, the BCS scheduled a lose-lose situation for the National Championship.
Like eating your veggies when you are small or exercising when you are grown, watching the BCS National Championship game will be something that we have to do rather than something we want to.
For weeks we have had the chance to get used to what will be the second coming of droll. The boring tsunami headed our way is not nearly the only reason that this will be the worst title game known to man.
That may err on the side of hyperbole, but it's believable when you consider what makes a great championship game. The excitement of the unknown is gone. The immense opportunity for it all to end in controversy is there. Lastly, the chance that we might never see a touchdown is very much alive.
I present you with the lose situation presented before us, as well as the least likely lose situation. Yes, if only there were enough room for a Dumb and Dumber clip. Oh, what the hell. Here.
LOSE
First comes the game, which we have already seen. This will be like watching a crappy movie, and instead of sending it back to Netflix, you watch again, only this time on streaming.
These two are awesome defensive teams...blah, blah, blah. I have seen quite enough of crummy kickers during this bowl season already. I don't need my title game to rely the totality of its scoring on such things.
In fact, it might be more exciting if we get out a dart board and pick a winner that way. As it sits, we are going to waste four hours watching two quarterbacks scramble and dump off the ball.

Now we come to the end of the game and the ridiculous aftermath when Alabama wins. Yup, LSU will have a beef that they already beat the Crimson Tide and shouldn't have to face them again.
The one-loss matters sentiment goes out the door. I can see both sides of the argument, but I am just not looking forward to the incessant discussion on the validity of the title rather than how awesome the game was.
That means just one thing, the game wasn't awesome and it all served to drum up yet another controversy the BCS can't account for.
Alabama had their chances in round one and blew it. Fate is a funny S.O.B. and will ensure that we don't have a "true" champion. What's left is an ending not even boxing could dream up.
I wish I could say that I will be watching something else that night, but I am stupid. I would rather sit back and hope I am wrong than do something else knowing that I am not.
Enjoy the next few nights, because they won't feature what will be a disaster.
