Bills' Dawson Knox to Undergo Surgery on Wrist Injury; Return Timetable TBD

Knox has been dealing with the injury throughout the past few weeks and has been able to play through it, although it appeared to have finally affected his production on Sunday.

New Report on Colts-Richardson Situation

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In the Bills' 29-25 loss to the New England Patriots, the former Pro Bowler recorded just one catch for 10 yards.
Knox has been one of quarterback Josh Allen's favorite red zone targets since the tight end entered the league in 2019 as a third-round draft pick. Over the past two seasons in particular, the 26-year-old hauled in 97 receptions for 1,104 yards and 15 touchdowns.
In his absence, rookie Dalton Kincaid will assume Knox's role in Buffalo's offense. The 25th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has recorded 25 catches for 193 yards in six games.
Despite the Bills' surprising loss to the Patriots, Kincaid was one of the few bright spots for the offense. He reeled in all eight of his targets for a career-high 75 yards.
Knox himself praised Kincaid's performance following the defeat, according to Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News.
"Definitely a bright part of the game," he said. "He's a weapon to be used. So hopefully, that will keep his confidence up. The more weapons we have on offense, the more we can spread the ball around, the more versatile we can be. The harder it is to defend every part. Definitely happy for him. Hopefully that will continue building."
Kincaid's first opportunity as the top tight end on the Bills' depth chart comes against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8. Tampa Bay's pass defense has been subpar in 2023, allowing 246.7 yards per game through the air which ranks as the sixth-worst average in the NFL.
