Craig James Video: Watch Former ESPN Analyst's First Campaign Ad

Jun 7, 2018

Craig James wants to make decisions that could impact your everyday life.

But don't worry, the only way James will be able to make these decisions is if the good people of Texas elect him to the U.S. Senate. After running wild at SMU and ruffling a few feathers at ESPN, James would like his next career stop to be in Washington, D.C.

James wants you to want that to be his next stop as well, and that's why he released a brand new political ad, the first of what is sure to be many.

It's a simple enough video. In fact, there's nothing out of the ordinary as far as campaign ads go. James just wants you to know how much America sucks right now, and how much it won't suck if you elect him to the Senate.

As for what kind of values James is pushing, he basically wants to be the Senate's very own version of Texas governor Rick Perry.

Whether or not that's a good thing depends on your politics.

James wraps up the video by saying that he approved the ad because he believes in America. I'm not sure he needed to get all patriotic to clarify that he approved of his own campaign ad, but that makes sense in a Craig James kind of way.

In fact, I'm surprised he didn't drop that line earlier. It's easy enough to imagine James saying, "I think Boise State is a horrible team and an overrated program, because I believe in America."

If James returns to ESPN, he should try that out.

Okay fine, when James returns to ESPN.
