WWE Rumors: Why Kane Is Not Going to Turn John Cena Heel
The ending of Raw on Monday night was not the epic close to 2011 that WWE was looking for. John Cena is supposed to be angered by the chants of "Cena Sucks," but he needed Kane to point it out to him. So any talk of a Cena heel turn needs to be stopped immediately.
A Cena heel turn has been talked about by wrestling fans for years, and it is starting to pick up steam with this latest angle. But to those fans that believe WWE will pull the trigger on a heel turn, you need to step back and realize that there are far more reasons not to do it.

The only reason that fans are asking for it to happen is because they are tired of seeing Cena smile on camera and cut lame promos. They think that turning him heel will bring him back to the days when he was rapping on his way down to the ring and the fans started cheering him because he was edgy.
The problem with that is WWE is a different product today than it was in 2003-04, when Cena was making his name.
And the whole angle that is being run, with Kane returning in his mask to tell Cena that everyone hates and he needs to start hating, is coming off as more comical than serious.
Even the audience in Chicago on Monday night was bored with this whole thing because you could easily see large sections of people that didn't start in on the "Cena Sucks!" chant that Kane was trying to start.
All that this angle will prove is that WWE wants Cena to be the ultimate babyface that will always choose to do the right thing instead of being portrayed as an angry, bitter superstar that feels wronged by the audience.
And there is no telling the business ramifications that turning Cena would have. The little kids that we all make fun of for cheering him are buying tickets to house shows to see him wrestle. Are they going to keep showing up if he becomes evil?
This Kane program had potential to tap into the more aggressive side of Cena that we never get to see because he always has to walk around with a smile on his face, but a full heel turn is not going to happen.
It is wrong for WWE to pretend like a heel turn is going to come, because when push comes to shove, we all know that Vince McMahon won't be able to do it. So this whole angle with Kane will end up being a giant waste of our time.
