Giants vs. Jets: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More
The New York Giants and New York Jets have never played a game of this magnitude. The two obviously cannot meet in the postseason unless it is a Super Bowl, and this is about as close to a playoff game as the two will ever get.
A loss by the Giants will eliminate them. A win will keep their hopes alive as they host division rival Dallas next week.
The Jets can lose and still make the postseason, but they'll need help. Winning out is obviously their best option.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Gang Green holds an 8-6 record and is playing for a five seed at best. Big Blue is currently 7-7 and needs to win the NFC East to earn a postseason berth.
This game not only decides who is the better football team in the Big Apple, but could essentially end the losing team's season.

What's At Stake?
Everything. Both teams still control their own destiny if they win out. That is obviously not possible, and one team is going to hold a huge advantage on their postseason prospects going into Week 17 should they win this week.
The Giants and Jets have virtually everything at stake.

Jets Injury Report

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Sleeper
Start 'Em: Shonn Greene, RB, Jets
Big Blue was methodically gashed by the run game last week. They didn't give up huge numbers, but they couldn't get off the field, either. They don't look to be getting any better this week, and Greene has averaged over four yards per carry in each of the last four games.
Sit 'Em: Brandon Jacobs, RB, Giants
Big Brandon Jacobs represents everything that Rex Ryan doesn't want the Giants to do to his defense. He doesn't have to worry; the Giants can't run the ball any way, and if they do, they'll resort back to Ahmad Bradshaw in desperation.
Sleeper: Plaxico Burress, WR, Jets
The Giants have no way over covering their former star receiver, and there is no telling what his motivation will be like against the team he caught the game-winning Super Bowl for.
What They're Saying
The New York Post's Steve Serby writes about the Giants' need for a victory and what it means:
"Whatever they choose to call it, that stadium will be electrified Saturday at 1 p.m., because the Giants and Jets, in their 11 previous regular-season collisions, have never played a game of this magnitude, with the stakes so high. For both franchises.
But more so for the Giants.
Mostly because their season is on the line, if not their coach’s job.
But also because their honor is on the line.
The Giants can’t clinch a playoff berth by beating the Jets.
But what they can do is paint the Empire State Building blue and they can stuff a Big Blue Christmas stocking in Ryan’s big mouth.
"
While the New York Daily News' Mike Lupica writes that neither team has anything to talk about:
"The only good news for our two overrated and underachieving football teams is that one of them will get a win on Saturday, one of them will continue to believe it can make the playoffs and then make a run. But the real fact of this game, at least off what we have seen from the Giants and Jets so far, is that the only championship for which either one of them will compete this season is the championship of each other. Two teams that played dead on Sunday try to show some life at MetLife Stadium on Christmas Eve.
"
Giants Player to Watch: Eli Manning, QB
He's been phenomenal this season in the clutch, and this game is about as clutch as it gets. Rex Ryan isn't going to let Tom Coughlin's Giants run the ball on him, and he'll force Eli to test his cornerbacks.
And, the Giants are going to be without starting tight end Jake Ballard, making things even more difficult.
If Big Blue is going to win this football game and keep their postseason hopes alive, Eli has to be at his very best.
Jets Player to Watch: Mark Sanchez, QB
Hate to make this just about the quarterbacks, but they'll be the differences in this game.
If Sanchez can make the Giants porous secondary suffer like so many other quarterbacks have this season, he'll win this game.
Big Blue hasn't generated any pass rush outside of Jason Pierre-Paul, and there is no doubt that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is going to give extra help to D'Brickashaw Ferguson against him.
The Jets are going to have success running the ball, but they're going to need Sanchez to make enough plays to win the game.
Key Matchup: Jets offensive line vs. Giants defensive line
We know the Giants defensive line can be absolutely dominating, but they don't always show up.
This week, it will be more important than ever for them to win the battle at the point of attack, or they'll be doomed again.
Not only do they need to generate a pass rush, but they need to able to stop the run on early downs. Last week, the Redskins were able to gain positive yards early in every series, and they wound up converting eight of 15 first downs.
The Giants simply have to find a way to get off the field (the Redskins held the ball for 10 more minutes last game), and they desperately need to make the most of any turnovers they can force.
If the Jets offensive line wins at the point of attack, they'll win this game.
On the Hotseat: Tom Coughlin, Giants
Very simple, Coughlin is fighting for his job, and many believe he needs to make the postseason to do it. One step at a time, but if he doesn't beat the Jets, the season is over for Big Blue and likely his tenure.
Prediction: Giants 31, Jets 28
