Why Dallas Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett Won't Survive Long Past Sunday
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has publicly endorsed head coach Jason Garrett, but should he have? Garrett's incredible mismanagement of a few games this season is a big reason why the Cowboys are currently 7-6 and tied atop the NFC East, instead of having a huge lead in the division.
Dallas has a ridiculously talented roster and though they have suffered some key injuries, there is no excuse for the Cowboys to be just above .500 right now. After winning four straight to jump to 7-4 and take a two-game lead in the NFC East, the Cowboys have inexplicably dropped two straight in embarrassing fashion.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In Week 13, Garrett famously iced his own kicker at the end of regulation, which led to a missed field goal and a 19-13 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals. In Week 14 against the New York Giants, the Cowboys led 34-22 with less than four minutes to go and lost the game 37-34. Garrett's play-calling was questioned late in that contest and with good reason.
In the franchise's first 770 games entering this season, Dallas had only lost a fourth quarter lead of at least 12 points twice. In 13 games this season it has happened three times. That is absolutely absurd.
Something happens to the Cowboys late in games. They fold and don't fight. Both on offense and defense, the team seems to pack it in and play not to win. That type of attitude reflects directly on the head coach. There just seems to be no fire in Dallas in the final minutes and opponents have taken advantage.
If the Cowboys don't win out to finish at 10-6 there is almost no way Jones can justify bringing Garrett back next season. His team's window for a championship is closing and something needs to be done to shake things up.
