Michael Jordan's New Neighbors Better Adjust to Cigar Smoke and Posses
Michael Jordan's new neighbors get better on board the Air Jordan bandwagon, or get out of Dodge. There is not another outcome that will work out well for them.
Michael's New Digs
His Airness is building a new super mansion in the elite estate of The Bears Club. That is not an easy club to crack. This is a golf course community centered around a course designed by Jack Nicklaus, and that is not a low-rent district.
Jordan's house is so big it doesn't even seem right to call it a house. It is a 37,000 square-foot dwelling that is reportedly costing $8 million to construct.
Ruffled Feathers
Needless to say, the residents of this community to not appear to be used to world-wide superstars that are known for enjoying a party lifestyle.
A source of gossipextra.com gave a glimpse into why people of the area may not be ecstatic about Jordan's arrival. Jose Lambiet has the quote:
"I don’t know which is worse. The half-smoked cigars in the grass or the fact he rarely plays without a posse. I’ve seen him out there with 10 people and they’re hooting and hollering. The point of living in this place is that it’s quiet.
"
"I'm sure that's one man's opinion," Estee Portnoy, Jordan's spokeswoman, told Lambiet as a response to the comment. "Michael is a true gentleman. He is looking forward to being a resident of the The Bears Club and abiding by the rules. Tell the residents not to worry!”
Yes, they would be wise not to worry because that is futile in this case.
Get Used to It
Jordan may not be the typical resident of The Bears Club, but he's there now, and he isn't going anywhere.
The "one man's opinion" did not express concerns over Jordan breaking any laws. It was simply concerns over annoying facets of a new neighbor.
Whoever is bothered by this can try and make a stink about it, but that would be a comically massive mistake. We are talking about a man that may be the most competitive person who has ever walked the planet.
Jordan kept a complete list of people that pissed him off so near and dear that he recited it at his Hall of Fame induction speech. It would not be wise to challenge him over his behavior in the club he just spent millions to move into.
Jordan is not going to let that kind of thing slide by.
