NFL Week 13 Picks: Road Teams That Will Suffer Humiliating Defeats

Ryan RudnanskyDec 4, 2011

It's tough enough going into a hostile environment. But when you face an underwhelming team and lose or get blown out of the building, that can have you scurrying back home in no time.

Three teams in particular will be humiliated in Week 13 of the NFL season.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (4-7)

Things can't get much worse for the Chiefs, who have come from being the AFC West champion to a scrub.

Part of this has to do with such players as running back Jamaal Charles and quarterback Matt Cassel going down to injury. It also has to do with simply poor coaching on Todd Haley's part.

In Week 13, the Chiefs face a Chicago Bears team sporting backup Caleb Hanie, who threw three interceptions against the Oakland Raiders in Week 12.

The Bears are struggling without Jay Cutler, but it won't matter against the Chiefs, with the defense still keeping the Chiefs offense in check.

2. New York Jets (6-5)

There's nothing left to say about the Jets so far besides the fact that they've been a massive disappointment this season.

Once again, head coach Rex Ryan proclaimed his team would win the Super Bowl behind quarterback Mark Sanchez, and once again, he's proving he needs a new crystal ball.

The Jets may have beaten the Buffalo Bills in Week 12, 28-24, but that came against a porous defense.

Against the Washington Redskins in Week 13, the Jets won't be so lucky.

Plus, quarterback Rex Grossman has injected some life back into this team, and rookie running back Roy Helu appears to be the real deal.

This is going to be a humbling defeat for the New York Jets.

1. Indianapolis Colts (0-11)

The Colts are 0-11.

They're facing one of the top teams in the NFL in the New England Patriots...on the road.

Need I say any more?

Not only has the offense suffered after the loss of Peyton Manning, the defense has been atrocious, allowing a league-high 29.7 points per game.

If the Colts allowed 27 points against the Carolina Panthers, imagine what they're capable of (or not capable of) facing Tom Brady and Co.

This could turn out to be similar to the 62-7 thrashing at the hands of the New Orleans Saints.
