Week 13 Start Em Sit Em: 5 Starters Who Will Excel in Any Fantasy League

Chris TrapassoDec 1, 2011

With a spot in your fantasy football league playoffs on the line, there's no room for error when setting your lineup this week.

You should definitely check out these guys as possible waiver wire pickups, but shouldn't start these three players for many reasons.

In this article, I'm outlining the five fantasy players that you can count on in Week 13 action.

They'll produce in any and all fantasy leagues.

I'm leaving out Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady, because, well, you already know these guys are fantasy gods.

Tony Romo

1 of 5

Romo has completed at least 22 passes in each of his last three games and he's got eight touchdowns to only two interceptions over that span.

It's unlikely that Miles Austin returns this week, but Laurent Robinson has done an admirable job as his replacement.

The Cardinals have one of the worst secondaries in football and are allowing 250 yards through the air per game.

With DeMarco Murray providing great balance, much of the pressure from earlier in the season has been taken off Romo and he should have a tremendous day in the desert.

Vince Young

2 of 5

Rex Grossman threw for 314 yards against the Seahawks last week.

Need I type more?

Fine, I will.

Young has actually been quite the passer in his two starts. If it wasn't for a few DeSean Jackson drops last week against the Patriots, he would have had about 450 yards with three touchdowns and only one interception.

Seattle has a good run defense, but they allow 240 yards through the air per game and certainly don't have the most talented corners in the league.

Even without Jeremy Maclin, Young will have another solid performance.

Frank Gore

3 of 5

What is THE dream matchup for Frank Gore owners?

A home game against the St. Louis Rams, a team that surrenders a league-worst 159 yards on the ground per game.

The Rams are in San Fran this week.

Jackpot.

Gore will be given the rock early and often and should have no trouble shredding through St. Louis' defensive line and linebackers.

HUGE game for Mr. Gore.

Antonio Brown

4 of 5

Antonio Brown has emerged for the Steelers during a time in which Mike Wallace has drawn consistent safety help over the top.

Since Week 7, Brown is in the top 10 in the league in targets.

He only has one drop on the season.

Nice.

The Steelers clearly struggled against the Chiefs last week, but Brown was the only receiver that had a respectable game, catching four passes for 81 yards.

Reliable.

Laurent Robinson

5 of 5

It doesn't look like Miles Austin plays this week against the Cardinals on the road.

Tony Romo makes this list for a reason. He's still got Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and the surprising Robinson.

The newest No. 81 in Dallas has four touchdowns in his last three games and looked like the favorite target of Romo's last week when he caught seven passes.

Even if Bryant does take away a few of his looks, Robinson should have a big day because of the weak Arizona defensive backfield.
