College Basketball Recruiting 2013: Duke & UNC Renew Rivalry with Recruiting War
Mike Krzyzewski of Duke and Roy Williams of North Carolina are legendary coaches who can turn a good team into a great one.
However, they realize that recruiting is also vital in maintaining their success, and both coaches have been working toward huge hauls in 2013.
The 2012 recruiting class is essentially a lost cause for coaches as most star players have already committed. However, the 2013 class is wide open, and both of these college basketball giants are taking it upon themselves to bring in great players.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Yesterday was a big day for the 2013 class. Coming into the day, only one Top 25 recruit had committed (PF Isaiah Hicks to North Carolina), but when the clock struck midnight, two more had done so.
In an epic tit-for-tat, Coach K and Williams secured 5-star commits yesterday.
Nate Britt is the second-best point guard in the class and he committed to UNC less than 12 hours after shooting guard Matt Jones committed to Duke.
These two rival schools now control the top three commits in the 2013 class, and neither coach is finished. Both schools are still recruiting heavily, trying to gain an edge over the over.
While their main goal is to strengthen their teams, both coaches are also trying to outdo the other, in turn holding the advantage in the rivalry.
Both schools are still looking to land PF Julius Randle, the No. 3 recruit in the class, and SF Jabari Parker, the No. 1 prospect in the country.
The rivalry between these two continues even in recruiting, and neither coach is satisfied with their haul so far. We will continue to see these two legends duke it out on the recruiting trail.
