NFL Week 12 Picks: Low-Scoring Games Guaranteed to Go Under
In today's high-scoring NFL, it stands to reason that betting the over is the best way to go. While that is often true, there is a reason why Las Vegas continues to prosper. A game between two high-scoring or low-scoring teams doesn't necessarily mean anything as the over/under is all about the number itself.
Whenever a game seems like a lock to go over or under, it seems like the opposite happens. A good example is the game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, as the two best offenses in the league only put up 42 points total. With that said, here are three Week 12 games that are locks to go under.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Washington Redskins vs. Seattle Seahawks (37.5)
While 37.5 certainly isn't a large over/under total to eclipse, the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks are probably two of the more offensively inept teams in the league. The 'Skins put up some points last week against the Dallas Cowboys, but I think that was more a matter of getting up for a rivalry game than the rebirth of quarterback Rex Grossman.
The Seahawks don't have much going on offense either, particularly with Tarvaris Jackson under center. Running back Marshawn Lynch has had a good stretch, but he isn't going to scare anyone. The Seahawks tend to win some ugly games on their home field, and most games involving the Redskins are going to be ugly. Look for Seattle to come out on top in a low-scoring and almost unwatchable game.
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets (42)
Early in the season, the Buffalo Bills had one of the NFL's most explosive offenses and beat the over with great regularity. Due to injuries and ineptitude, however, the Bills have been exposed over the past month. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's already-weak receiving corps is further depleted and many of his throws have been well off target to begin with. Also, star running back Fred Jackson was placed on injured reserve.
With that said, it is highly unlikely that the Bills will right the ship against the New York Jets. The Jets figure to run the score up on Buffalo's porous defense, but I don't think there will be enough production from the Bills offense to push this game over. These teams played an under game in Buffalo a few weeks ago and I expect them to do the same on Sunday.
Carolina Panthers vs. Indianapolis Colts (47)
The Carolina Panthers have developed into a good offensive team thanks to quarterback Cam Newton, but it makes little sense for their game against the Indianapolis Colts to have an over/under of 47. The Colts simply can't get anything going on offense, and while Carolina's defense is terrible, the Colts have no running game and no quarterback to speak of.
Carolina should be able to score off Indy's defense, but it takes two to tango, especially with such a high over/under. The Colts have had the bye week to prepare, so the offense may look better than it has in quite some time, but quarterback Curtis Painter simply isn't going to light up the scoreboard. The Panthers will put up some points, but not nearly enough to beat the lofty over/under.
