The NBA's Biggest Disappointment!
The Philadelphia 76ers are shaping up to be one of the biggest disappointments in this young NBA season.
Sure, they werent picked to be in the finals, but they were expected to compete in the East with the teams not named the Boston Celtics. Or at least make the playoffs, with a record over .500.
So far, the re-signing of Andre Ig-ewww-dolla has been a dud, and the Blockbuster franchise-changing signing of Elton Brand has not came close to the hype. The jury isn't still out on Brand—they've ruled...
He's a bust, he is for the 76ers Chris Webber re-incarnated. He puts up numbers that look ok for him, but ZERO result in the win column!
Rookie Forward Mareese Speights filled in for the injured Brand Wednesday during the Milwaukee Sucks game. Speights provided the energy that Brand was supposed to provide but has not.
It isn't Brand's fault, he has ZERO impact, the man just does not fit on a young 76ers team that was built to run. The Sixers fired GM Billy King last year, and hired his body double, Ed Stefanski. He kept the tradtion alive of throwing money around to average players.
Oh I am sorry, I got so caught up on bashing the Elton Brand and Billy—I mean Ed Stefanski , and the bust he has been, I totally forgot about the 76ers' $80 million shooting guard WHO CANT SHOOT!!!!!
Ig-ewww-dolla should not be a starter on this team! He's a very good role player. Not a super star, not a starter! Second-year man Thadeus Young out-plays "Ig-ew" night in and night out.
I threw up in my mouth as I watched "Ig-ew" shoot brick after brick knowing the 76ers wasted millions of dollars on this stiff. He shot 14.3 percent against the Milwaukee Sucks.
The 76ers who just this off-season finally recoverd from the contracts of guys like Matt Gieger, Diekembe Mutombo, Chris Webber...etc. etc. Go right back to old habits by over-paying guys who are at best a second option for a team. Will they ever learn, probably not...
Looks like the 76ers have finally returned to the Post-Barkely Pre-Iverson days...They are a bunch of "stiffs" with a lot of "promise."
