Kris Humphries: Short-Lived Marriage to Kim Kardashian Paying off for Forward
Who said a divorce couldn’t pay off?
Fresh off the shortest, most publicized marriage in recent history, Kris Humphries is about to cash in.
CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell is reporting that Humphries is now a very marketable man:
Let the speculation begin.
It’s in New York City, which makes sense since he plays for the New Jersey Nets just across the river. He is really tall, so maybe that is in play…but let’s be real, it has to be something that appeals to women right?
Humphries had his best season in the NBA last year, averaging 10 points and 10 rebounds, so it’s doubtful his new endorsement is going to be anything sports related. A bench player doesn’t sell, especially in the Big Apple. Basketball fans could care less about the guy.
His main demographic is the same one that watches the E! Channel all day—women from the ages of 18 to 40. It’s got to be some sort of clothing or jewelry company that can use Humphries to market items for women to buy their boyfriends.
My guess is an upscale watch company. His height isn’t an issue, women will be drawn to the product because of Humphries, and he may even be able to play the pity angle.
It’s Humphries that is getting the last laugh in this whole 72-day marriage that may or may not have been real. Ex-wife Kim Kardashian is currently dealing with a bevy of lawsuits. She is suing her former publicist for saying much of her life is staged for TV. She is getting sued by a hair removal product company for making false and misleading statements for their rival.
While she may have all the money in the world to make this bad press go away, it’s clear that thus far that Humphries is the one that is winning the divorce.
We shall see how far of a lead he has tomorrow…
