LeBron James Video: Watch Heat Star Predict Victory Against Kobe Bryant 1-on-1

Eric BowmanNov 14, 2011

The debate for the greatest current NBA player will always be a hot topic, no matter how the players feel about it. The NBA lockout certainly doesn't help either.

LeBron James was recently in London, and when asked who would win a game of 1-on-1 with him and Kobe Bryant, the self-proclaimed King naturally went with himself.

When Kobe was overseas, he too took LeBron to win that blacktop matchup, but on this video, LeBron was adamant that it would never happen.

It's pretty clear LeBron never wanted to be where he was, but there's no need to get visibly upset over a harmless question.

If he knows it will never happen, why not just answer the question and move on?

I don't blame LeBron for picking himself, even if it does show his true arrogance. At 6'8", 250 pounds, LeBron wouldn't have much trouble against a 6'6" 205-pound Kobe.

Size is a huge advantage in a 1-on-1 matchup, and while Kobe is the better outside shooter, he would still have to defend LeBron, who would likely drive to the hoop on every play.

You have to hand it to LeBron for his confidence here, although he does seem irritated the whole time.

He could have taken the nice route and picked Kobe, since Kobe picked him, but LeBron stuck with his reputation and picked himself.

The Miami Heat star is a true competitor, and he never wants to lose. Not having a championship is driving him to be better and better.

Still, though, was there a need to get distraught on camera over a simple question? No, not at all, but that's just who LeBron can be at times.

Dreaming of 1-on-1 matchups is something fans are doing right now during this lockout, which is why we comprised a list of the best ones. Take a look at the Top 50 1-on-1 Matchups We Would Love to See
