Rex Ryan's Patronage of Patriots Dynasty Leaves Even Jets Fans Laughing
Say what you want, good or bad, about the job Rex Ryan has done with the New York Jets. At least the guy has a great sense humor—something he's shown off at press conferences and will put on full display next summer in Adam Sandler's "I Hate You, Dad."
Ryan is slated to play a Boston-based lawyer who, as you might imagine, happens to be a huge New England Patriots fan, complete with life-sized Tom Brady posters and Bill Belichick bobbleheads.
Not that "Sexy Rexy" necessarily hates the Pats in real life, having split his six matchups with "The Hoodie" heading into Sunday night's meeting of the minds in MetLife Stadium.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Still, it's always refreshing to see a visible figure from the NFL, known alternately as the "No Fun League," having a bit of, well, fun with a bitter AFC East rivalry. At least he's not on screen indulging his wife's reported foot fetish.
And for those Gang Green fans who resent Ryan for taking so lightly their hatred of Foxborough's favorites, keep in mind that Adam Sandler, the star and producer of the film, is a diehard Jets fan and, as such, likely put Rex up to this gag himself.
The only concern, then, should be how much time, if any, Ryan's foray onto the silver screen takes away from his all-important head coaching duties. After all, his Jets are in the thick of the playoff picture in the AFC, with a golden opportunity to win the division and march their way to a third consecutive conference championship game.
Then again, judging by the way New York has played of late, winning its last three games, Ryan's fledgling acting career doesn't seem to be interfering too much with his team's success.
Let's just hope his turn in Hollywood is even half as good as his burgeoning career as a head coach.
Or at least better than Mike Ditka's cameo in "Kicking and Screaming."
