Wait, Mark Sanchez? Yes indeed, owners of the New York Jets quarterback should be on high alert this week.

These are just a few of the matchups featuring potentially high scoring QBs. There are, of course, others with highly favorable matchups as well.

Here are the top projected quarterbacks in Week 9.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers

Every week the reigning Super Bowl MVP takes the field he is expected to be a Top 3 performer.

He's playing at such a ridiculously high level right now that is hard to imagine this team even losing a game.

The Chargers don't give up a ton of production to opposing quarterbacks, but they have weaknesses that will be exploited by Rodgers.

Green Bay is still struggling to run the football, but all that means is that Rodgers is going to be throwing early and often yet again.

Eli Manning, Giants

Without Ahmad Bradshaw in the lineup, the Giants' already terrible run game is doomed.

Brandon Jacobs will get his shot to tote the rock as the starter again, but the Giants wisely don't expect much production there.

Instead, they'll lean on the only rock they have on this team: Eli Manning.

The quarterback is playing lights out so far this season and has carried them on his back to a 5-2 record.

If Big Blue is going to have any chance in this game (other than hitting Tom Brady) they'll need Eli to keep making defenses pay.

Fortunately, the Patriots defense welcomes big days from QBs.

Drew Brees, Saints

The New Orleans quarterback has to be disappointed with what went on last week in St. Louis.

Now he returns home to take on division rival Tampa Bay, a team that has already beaten them.

The Saints cannot afford another conference loss, let alone a division loss.

Brees has also set a pattern of following mediocre-to-good performances with big performances.

In short, he's due for a big performance.

Tom Brady, Patriots

The Giants defense is something Tom Brady remembers all too well. While the defensive line still has its stable of pass rushers (although not completely healthy) the secondary is susceptible to big plays and blown coverages.

Also factor in that this is Tom Brady we're talking about, and realize that he's coming off an ugly loss in Pittsburgh.

The Giants and Patriots are both out to prove they belong this week and, like Eli, we can expect big things from Brady.

In fact, the showdown in Foxborough could very easily become a shootout if both teams abandon the run early.

Tony Romo, Cowboys

The Dallas superstar certainly hasn't been great in the last two weeks, but he is due for a bounce back against the Seahawks.

The Cowboys don't know what they have with their run game, but they do know what they have on the outside.

Romo might make mistakes from time to time, but he can put up big numbers too.

He's ready for a points breakout at home against a visiting Seattle team that can be as up and down as a rollercoaster.

Honorable Mentions

Philip Rivers, Chargers - He could break out any time this season.

Mark Sanchez, Jets - He's been much more consistent in the last two wins and this matchup against the Bills invites passing yards. Don't be shocked if he has a multi-touchdown day with some yardage attached to it.

Michael Vick, Eagles - The Bears usually play Vick pretty well, but Chicago's safeties and corners are in trouble against Philadelphia's speed on the outside.

Matt Ryan, Falcons - Playing the Colts in a dome. Enough said.

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers - Steelers won't be able to run the football against the Ravens, but Roethlisberger seems to be getting on track. He can hurt Baltimore's secondary.
