Kim Kardashian Divorce: Australian Business Trip Shows Money Is Always No. 1

Even though her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries lasted just 72 days, you would think Kim Kardashian would have more pressing issues on her mind than flying to Australia to sell handbags. What the trip does show, however, is that Kardashian will take a payday over love any day of the week.

On top of the Australian business trip, the New York Post posted a story about other ways Kardashian could attempt to cash in on her renewed single status.

If Kardashian properly capitalizes on her newly single status, an expert said she could make millions by selling her divorce story, photos of her as a newly single woman, and driving up her appearance fees for the first parties she attends solo.

Nobody other than Kardashian and her closest confidants will ever truly know if the entire wedding was simply a plan to secure a big payday or true love, but judging by the numerous negative stories about Humphries on TMZ over the past two days, a smear campaign has been launched against him.

At this point, the Kardashian brand is almost like the banks, it's too big to fail. And if there's any sign to the contrary, the threat will be neutralized.

Publicity is the name of the game for reality television stars and this quick hitch-and-ditch scenario has worked out perfectly for Kardashian, even if that wasn't the original plan. She has yet again found a way to remain relevant without doing much of anything.

It's only a matter of time before there's a new man in her life that will send the tabloids into a frenzy again. She has figured out a way to get people to care deeply about her every move, even though those moves are rarely interesting in the first place.

Money is the biggest motivator there is and when your only source of income is from remaining in the headlines, you'll do whatever it takes to stay there. The entire Kardashian family has mastered that art and are using the public as pawns to fuel their money-making machine.

At the end of the day, it's a Kardashian world and we're all just living in it.
