NFL Week 8 Picks: Last-Minute Predictions for Week's Winners & Losers
We have the Patriots at the Steelers, the Cowboys at the Eagles and Adrian Peterson squaring off against Cam Newton in Carolina.
Oh, and there's a game in Canada.
After last week's league-wide debacle, I'm ready to watch some quality football.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now that I have all the information on this weekend's games, my predictions are guaranteed to all be spot on.
Yeah, okay, and last night's World Series game was boring.
Colts at Titans
Start any Tennessee Titan you have on your fantasy roster. Nate Washington, Jared Cook, Matt Hasselbeck, Chris Johnson—whoever.
The Colts defense is hard to watch; well actually, it's fun to watch if you love offense.
Curtis Painter will make his usual mistakes, and Indianapolis' run game is stagnant.
Result: big win for Tennessee.
Saints at Rams
Drew Brees was surgical against the Colts last week, and he'll be the same against another winless team on Sunday.
Do I really need to say more?
Result: huge blowout.
Dolphins at Giants
The Dolphins are in total disarray, and the Giants are finally getting healthy. Off the bye week, New York will have a solid game plan in place to exploit the Dolphins' many weaknesses.
Eli Manning is playing great football right now, and the Giants' defensive front will wreak havoc in Miami's backfield.
Result: another blowout.
Vikings at Panthers
This game has the potential to be the most entertaining of the weekend, because of the star power. Yes, in a game with teams that have combined for a total of three wins, there's a good deal of star power.
Newton and Peterson will put on a show and rack up monster numbers for their fantasy owners.
At home, I think Newton makes more plays against a porous Vikings secondary and leads his team to their third victory.
He outplays Christian Ponder, who makes a critical mistake late.
Cardinals at Ravens
The Ravens can't play any worse than they did against the Jaguars, can they? Baltimore will give Ray Rice more than eight carries, and Joe Flacco will rebound against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.
Result: Baltimore bounces back at home.
Jaguars at Texans
The Jaguars defense is pretty solid. Unfortunately, they face a much better Texans offense that could finally get Andre Johnson back.
Blaine Gabbert needs to show me more before I can pick them to win two straight.
Redskins at Bills
The Redskins are too banged up on offense to stick with a Bills offense coming off the bye week.
It's really that simple.
Buffalo's defense isn't great, but can John Beck do enough without Santana Moss, Tim Hightower, Chris Cooley and Trent Williams?
Lions at Broncos
I'm not a Tebow hater, but this week, his heroics won't be able to lift his team against the Lions, who are far more talented than the Dolphins.
Matt Stafford should play and will prove his naysayers wrong by turning in a quality game after two sub-standard performances.
Calvin Johnson—heard of him?
The Broncos will have no answer.
Patriots at Steelers
This week's marquee matchup should be a ton of fun in the Steel City. Both quarterbacks will turn in solid performances, but this game comes down to defenses.
Right now, I don't have any faith in New England's defense in a hostile environment. The Steelers' speedy wideouts will make a handful of big plays, leading to a Steelers win.
Browns at 49ers
Not the greatest matchup for the offensively-challenged Browns.
Patrick Willis anchors one of the best all-around defenses in the league, and how about their No.6-ranked running game?
San Francisco will run early and often with its thunder and lightning duo of Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter while their defense stymies Colt McCoy and Co.
Bengals at Seahawks
I'm incredibly high on Andy Dalton and his fellow rookie A.J. Green.
They both have shown great maturity in their first season, but there's bound to be a hiccup somewhere.
It comes this week in Seattle—a place that's never easy to pick up a road win.
Tarvaris Jackson should play, and for Cincinnati, Cedric Benson is serving his one-game suspension.
Result: Seahawks pull the upset.
Dallas at Philadelphia
This will be a shootout.
The offenses are explosive on the ground and through the air.
The difference in this game will be the Cowboys' defensive front that will prove to be just too much against an Eagles below-average offensive line.
DeMarco Murray won't rush for 200 yards, but against one of the worst run defenses in the league, he'll have another big game in a Cowboys win.
Chargers at Chiefs
What a turnaround for KC after its horrid 0-3 start.
They still don't have the dynamic, big-play ability they had last season with Jamaal Charles, but they've been doing enough on offense to win games.
Their secondary is showing its talent and Philip Rivers is struggling, especially in the second half of games.
In front of their home crowd on Monday Night, the Chiefs get this victory and make the AFC West race very interesting.
