Seahawks vs. Browns: 4 Adjustments Seattle Must Make at the Half
The Seahawks come into Cleveland with few big expectations besides Charlie Whitehurst's third career start being a good one. The absences of both Tarvaris Jackson and Marshawn Lynch make this game a great time to check out the other pieces they have. Here are four adjustments the Seahawks must make to stay in this game vs. the Browns.
1. Protect Charlie Whitehurst
Whitehurst has a hard enough job as it is without dealing with so much pressure from the Browns' secondary. He's already been sacked a number of times, had a fumble forces, and has had some passes tipped. The Seattle offense has looked pretty inept so far through the first half.

2. Penalties
The Seahawks lead the league in penalty yards, and that stat is very evident today. Their offense has shown its immaturity pretty clearly so far. There have been false starts, holding calls, and even a player leading a hit on Colt McCoy with his helmet.
These are all calls that can be avoided with a little bit of discipline, and that's what Seattle has to have in the second half if they're going to take this game.
3. Pressure Colt McCoy
Colt McCoy has looked relatively fluid today, even while being forced to scramble. The Seahawks need to send more pressure his way from their secondary. They must make him feel uncomfortable, because the Browns' offense has been sputtering.
He can't be allowed to get into a real groove.
4. Replace Marshawn Lynch
Lynch's absence is felt today. The Seahawks have to create another viable running option. Some inspired play by the offensive line to create more holes would be very helpful, because the backs they're featuring in their running scheme today have had little room to move around.
Neither Justin Forsett nor Leon Washington have been very effective vs. the Browns' defensive line or secondary.
