Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings: Cam Newton and 5 QBs Locked in to Score Big
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is easily the favorite for the 2011 NFL Rookie of the Year award nearing the halfway point of the season, but that being said, his greatest contribution to the league this year has been through fantasy football.
Newton has put up incredible numbers this season, but his Panthers are only 1-5 and are currently at the bottom of a very competitive NFC South.
For a rookie, Newton has looked pretty good and has shown a ton of potential. Through six games in 2011, Newton has put up 1,847 yards and seven touchdowns; the only problem is that he has thrown nine interceptions.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Newton and the Panthers have a very winnable game against the Washington Redskins coming up this week, and I think he's going to put up some really big numbers.
He's not the only quarterback that will put up big numbers, though.
Here are the five best fantasy quarterbacks for Week 7:
1. Drew Brees
Brees would put up great numbers in a normal game, but this is a game against the 0-6 Indianapolis Colts without Peyton Manning under center. The Colts cannot stop anybody, so I highly doubt they are going to be able to slow down Brees at his house. We may see a career day out of him, which would be incredible considering his career.
Right now, it's hard to pick against Rodgers as the league MVP, let alone one of the best fantasy options out there. He's leading the Packers against a quarterback on the other side in Christian Ponder, who will be in his first NFL start. The Packers should have no problem disposing of the Vikings, and I don't see Rodgers putting up any less than normal numbers.
3. Joe Flacco
Flacco's fantasy worth is not as good as it should be because he has Ray Rice in the backfield and an exceptional defense to back him up. This week, he's matching up with a Jacksonville Jaguars team that will have a hard time stopping the run, which will open up the passing game for him. I'm looking at a blow-out for Flacco and the Ravens offense.
4. Cam Newton
Newton may have a shot to lead his team to victory this week against the Washington Redskins, and I think he's going to put up some very big numbers in the process. The one thing you have to worry about when starting him is the turnovers, but I think he's going to put up a lot of yards against the 'Skins.
5. Matt Ryan
The best way to beat the Detroit Lions is with the running game, so expect Michael Turner to get a ton of looks in this game. That being said, the Lions secondary is often open to big plays over-top, and if the Falcons have their running game going, Ryan is going to get a ton of open looks. It will slow down Detroit's pass rush, and Ryan can pretty much have his choice of targets.
