Ronnie Brown Trade: Detroit Lions Acquire Eagles RB for Draft Pick and Player
The Detroit Lions have acquired Philadelphia Eagles running back Ronnie Brown for a seventh round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and running back Jerome Harrison, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
With Lions starting running back Jahvid Best recovering from a concussion, this trade gives the Lions another dependable back to fill in if Best misses multiple games.
Brown is a very good running back who is versatile enough to be an every down back and can catch the ball out of the backfield on screen plays and short passes.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When healthy, Brown is one of the better running backs in the NFL.
After a very good but injury filled career with the Miami Dolphins, Brown began his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles this year, but has only carried the ball 13 times for just 38 yards.
In the Eagles' last two games, a loss versus the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 and a win against the Washington Redskins in Week 6, Brown didn't run the ball once or catch a pass.
Harrison played for the Eagles last year in a backup role and had 14 carries for 41 yards for the Lions this season.
This move not only proves to the Detroit Lions fans that the organization is committed to winning and wants to do so this season, they have given the locker room the proof that the team wants to compete this season.
The trade is a good one for the Lions because they got a good player who will help the team without giving up much to acquire him.
