NFL Rumors: Brandon Lloyd Would Be a Great Pickup for Tennessee Titans
Losing wide receiver Kenny Britt for the season was a huge blow to the Tennessee Titans. He had gotten off to an outstanding start, and replacing his production from within the organization was going to be difficult.
Replacing Britt from outside the organization is another story. One guy that might just fit the bill is Denver Broncos receiver Brandon Lloyd.
Per a Thursday report from the Denver Post, we know two things: The first is that Lloyd is on the block, and the other is that the Titans are one of three or four teams that is believed to be interested in Lloyd.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It didn't take long for the news to reach Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. When it did, he started tweeting. One of the tweets sticks out:
The reason Wyatt is hesitant is that the Broncos are believed to be looking for anything from a third-round pick to a fifth-round pick for Lloyd. If the market for Lloyd gets competitive, you can rest assured that it's going to take a third-round pick to get him.
Lloyd's skills alone are worth such a high draft pick, but the tricky part is that Lloyd is a free agent after this season. Unless the Titans want to re-sign him after trading for him, Lloyd will be a rental.
Because of that, I for one would be able to understand if the Titans backed off Lloyd and took their chances with what they have after the Tuesday trade deadline. They're 3-2 now, so they could leave well enough alone.
But from where I'm sitting, I think Lloyd would be worth the trouble for the Titans. With the Houston Texans coming down to earth a little (and again), it's looking like the AFC South is as winnable as it's ever been. The Titans thus have a golden opportunity to win a division title that nobody saw them winning.
The Titans are probably good enough to do it with what they have, but Lloyd would provide plenty of extra thump. His numbers aren't great this season, but you can chalk that up to Denver's issues at the quarterback situation. It's certainly worth noting that Lloyd was the NFL's leading receiver last year, and he has a knack for making very tough catches.
The other thing worth noting is that Matt Hasselbeck hasn't been quite as effective ever since Britt went down in Week 3 (coincidentally against the Broncos). Hasselbeck's completion percentage is down, and so is his yardage.
This could be no big deal. It could also be a clear sign that Hasselbeck could use some help.
The question for the Titans is which possibility they want to gamble on.
