Fantasy Football Week 6 Projections: Hakeem Nicks and 3 Valuable WRs
They don't put up the most insane numbers each week, but these three WRs are solid, valuable fantasy players, as they are crucial to their teams' success.
Sure, it's nice having a Calvin Johnson—who literally can outscore the entire league—but having that No. 2 or No. 3 WR who gets his projections is just as important, if not more.
So, here's some love for the WRs who do work each week, but may not get nearly as much attention.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hakeem Nicks, Giants
With Mario Manningham slightly underperforming and Domenik Hixon lost for the season, all that really leaves QB Eli Manning with is receiver Hakeem Nicks.
What's more, Hicks has answered the call by leading the team in every receiving category, thus making him a very good fantasy player to boot.
If you have Nicks and are unsure whether to start him because of Eli's odds at breaking down, you must start him. Even in the face of the Bills' solid defense, he has the ability to beat anyone in coverage.
Jordy Nelson, Packers
Even with the presence of the Packers' leading WR Greg Jennings and the resurgence of TE Jermichael Finley; Green Bay's No. 2 man, Jordy Nelson, is valuable to the cheese and fantasy owners everywhere.
QB Aaron Rodgers knows how to spread the ball around so well that no one really stands out from one another on Green Bay's offense.
However, that does not mean Nelson gets his projected numbers axed, because he's arguably the best No. 2 wideout in the game.
You can always count on him getting at least seven fantasy points, which is good for your No. 2 or No. 3 WR.
Better yet, you could get his best-case scenario, where he gets around 15 points.
You can't go wrong with Nelson with a QB like Rodgers dishing the rock around. He's guaranteed to be effective, no matter what the matchup.
Jason Avant, Eagles
He's definitely not your No. 1 or even No. 2 WR, but Philly wideout Jason Avant is great for the No. 3 spot—especially since the Eagles play so much from behind.
Chances are, he may even be available in some leagues. If you need depth, be sure to get him as Avant can only help.
The Eagles receiver is overlooked because of DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, but Michael Vick knows that Avant is just as reliable as those two. What's more, based on his performance against Buffalo last week (nine catches, 139 yards), you know he can significantly contribute at any time.
Therefore, expect Vick to target him even more. The more Avant produces, the more dangerous and dynamic the Philly offense becomes.
