NFL Trade Rumors: Why Carson Palmer Won't Be Dealt Before Tuesday Trade Deadline
Carson Palmer is sticking to his word of staying retired, and it appears the Bengals will stick to theirs and not trade him.
The 2011 NFL Trade deadline ends next Tuesday, October 18, and it's doubtful that Palmer is moved by then.
There haven't been any teams rumored to be actively pursing Palmer, but that didn't stop Gil Brandt of NFL.com to purpose a possible move.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brandt believes that Palmer would be welcomed in Seattle and reunite with his former coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks in turn would send wide receiver Doug Baldwin and draft picks. Although, the draft pick would depend on how much Palmer plays.
""The quality of the picks would be based on Palmer's performance over the next two years. I'm not talking about numbers here, I mean wins and losses. If Seattle makes the playoffs in either year and Palmer starts 50 percent of the games, Cincinnati could get a first rounder. If he doesn't start much, Seattle could potentially only give up a third-rounder."
"
I see his logic in this deal because the Seahawks get a quality quarterback, and the Bengals get help in the draft as well as a promising receiver to pair with A.J. Green, which gives Andy Dalton two targets for many years to come.
However, the likelihood of this happening is very slim. The Bengals best time to move Palmer was before the season, and the only reason his name is popping up again is because the trade deadline is less than a week away.
Mike Brown, the Bengals owner, has long been adamant about not trading Palmer, and I don't see him making a move now.
Both he and Palmer were very stubborn this offseason, and it's hard not to think Brown wanted to see if Palmer was bluffing or not.
In the end, Brown doesn't care because his team is playing much better than expected under Andy Dalton.
Plus, the Seahawks like what they have in Tavaris Jackson, and even when he went down last Sunday, they still managed to beat the New York Giants with Charlie Whitehurst at quarterback.
With Seattle now having a QB controversy, why in the world would they add Palmer to the mix?
Remember, Palmer hasn't played since last season, and who knows how much he's been working out and throwing the ball these days.
He may have stayed in shape during the offseason, but when Week 1 rolled by and he was still at home, he's probably sitting on the couch just living his life with his family.
Palmer isn't going anywhere in the next few days, but once this season is said and done perhaps Brown lets up or Palmer begs to come back. Needless to say, it's going to be an interesting situation again, but for now I think he stays retired for the 2011 season.
