Tim Tebow: Why Andrew Luck Is the Real Savior for the Denver Broncos
Across the NFL, fan bases from the worst teams have started a particular chant, for a particular college football player. The chant is for a senior from the University of Stanford who plays quarterback, named Andrew Luck. Those fans from teams like the Colts, Dolphins and maybe Arizona, are starting the chant, “Suck for Luck ... Suck for Luck.”
But, the fan base that should be joining in this chant, but isn’t, because they are infatuated with a false savior of their franchise is the Denver Broncos with Tim Tebow.
Why are Denver fans buying into “Tebow Mania?” If anything, aside from the Miami Dolphins, the Broncos are in a worse quarterback situation than the rest of the bottom half of the league.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Denver started the season with the players and coaches choice of Kyle Orton at quarterback. However, the fans choice to start the Broncos 2011 season was Tebow.
Broncos’ fans ignored Orton’s previous two seasons in Denver, when the quarterback had back-to-back 3,500 yards with 20 touchdown passes.
When Tebow has come in to replace Orton during games last year, he completed only half of his passing attempts, while throwing five touchdown passes and three interceptions. Tebow’s only notable stats were from his rushing ability, scoring six times in nine games.
But, if Denver fans love Tebow for his ability to scramble, instead of his throwing ability, they will see more losses than wins.
If Denver fans love Tebow for his leadership ability, fans should know that his record when starting as quarterback with the Broncos is 1-2.
Sure, starting three games is a small sample size to judge a player on his ability to lead a winning team, but his stats mentioned above are from 12 games, over a year and a half in the NFL.
Denver’s head coach, John Fox, pulled starting quarterback Orton for Tebow last week against San Diego. Tebow did lead a Bronco come back, once he came into the game when the score was 26-10.
However, his stat line still was not impressive, only completing 4-of-10 passes for 79 yards and one touchdown. Fans will point out that he rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, but, if your quarterback is having more success at running than throwing, you do not have a good quarterback.
If the fans in Denver want a quarterback like the one that led them to back-to-back Super Bowl wins in John Elway, then they have to stop with the Tebow support.
There is a quarterback that is like Elway from his Alma mater, Stanford. His name is Andrew Luck, and he is the real savior of the Denver Broncos, not Tim Tebow.
