Jeremy Shockey Injury: Panthers' Tight End Likely to Play on Sunday
Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera says veteran Tight End Jeremy Shockey is "99 percent likely to play" on Sunday. News comes courtesy of Joe Person of the The Charlotte Observer.
Shockey experienced post-concussion symptoms following last week's loss to the Bears, but he's been adamant all week that he intended to play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, the team that cut him at the end of last season.
Over the course of the week, Shockey has made no secret that he's on a personal mission this week, saying he has a 'bitter taste' in his mouth from the way he was treated in New Orleans.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If he does indeed play, expect him and upstart rookie QB Cam Newton to attack the Saints' pass defense early and often on Sunday.
The 31 year-old Shockey was a first-round selection of the New York Giants in 2002. A four-time pro-bowler, Shockey has outstayed his welcome at all of his stops in the NFL so far due to his outspoken nature. This week, he acknowledged how far he's come.
"I'm at the tail end of my career and I would rather walk away than crawl away," he said.
