Week 5 Start Em Sit Em: Matt Hasselbeck and 3 QBs You Must Start
Three quarterbacks not thought to be spectacular fantasy starters going into this season have turned into viable options, for this week and beyond. If you aren't lucky enough to have Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers or Michael Vick as your starting quarterback, they're worth a start this week.
The Tennessee Titans Matt Hasselbeck has emerged as one of the most reliable fantasy quarterbacks in this young season, leading his team to three wins thus far in a year that the Titans were supposed to be an afterthought.
He has completed nearly 67 percent of his passes for 1,152 yards and eight touchdowns. This week, he faces the slumping Pittsburgh Steelers defense that nevertheless still has top-10 skills in defending the pass. That statistic should be ignored this week, however.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hasselbeck has an uncanny ability to get the ball to his receivers and build an early lead. Should that happen on Sunday, don't expect much passing from the team in the second half. They will try to maintain their lead against the Steelers' poor run defense. But they will get that early lead, making Hasselbeck a strong starting fantasy option.
Don't bench the likes of Rodgers or Brady for Hasselbeck this week, but if your regular starter is on a bye, or is a weaker or less reliable option than him, he's a great choice to lead your fantasy quad in Week 5.
The same can be said for the New York Giants' Eli Manning. While he's not a better option this week than the top five quarterbacks in the league, his team's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks elevates Manning from QB2 to QB1 status.
The Seahawks defense ranks 30th against the pass, signaling a big day ahead for the often inconsistent Manning. Time will tell if he can maintain his current pace, with 1,066 yards, eight touchdowns and just two interceptions on the year, but he shouldn't experience a slide this week.
Buffalo's Ryan Fitzpatrick began the season as one of the better QB2 options in the fantasy universe and has elevated himself to a situational starter. One of those situations presents itself this week, as the Bills host the defensively-challenged Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles are likely to be playing both angry and desperate, both a good and a bad sign for the Buffalo defense. Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick is going to want to air out the ball a lot on Sunday, and I see this game being a shootout despite both teams boasting a top five running back.
A shootout benefits Fitzpatrick in a big way; the three Bills' victories came primarily from his big-play ability, and the team will be relying on that this week in their quest to defeat the Eagles.
