As the Boston Celtics went head to head against the Golden State Warriors, at home, they scored a total of 119 points. Their opponents got a total of 111 points. As the Boston Celtics come out of their World Championship win they are on an amazing role. This win over the Golden State Warriors is their 6th in a row. This game was absolutely amazing.
In the first quater of this matchup, the Boston Celtics were leading the Golden State Warriors by 8 points, it was 35 to 28. In the second quarter, the warriors came back and scored 39 points to take the lead 67 to 54, a 13 point deficit. As the Celtics took their time and blew the steam off during halftime, they came back in the third quarter to out score the Warriors 32 to 16, which put the Celtics into the lead 86 to 83. As the Celtics were on fire, in the last quarter of this amazing game the Celtics were still out scoring the Golden State Warriors. The Boston Celtics scored 33 points as the Golden State Warriors came to score 28 points. The final score to this amazing night of the Boston Celtics versus the Golden State Warriors was 119 to 11 in the favor of the home team, the Boston Celtics.
The player of the game for this one was Ray Allen with 25 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Paul Pierce also had an amazing night by putting up 21 points and taking down 6 rebounds. He also had 5 assists. Kevin Garnett, the man who led the Celtics to the World Title last year, put up 21 points as well. Garnett came down with 13 rebounds and 3 assists. Kendrik Perkins only had 9 points on the night but he came down with 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Even though Rajon Rondo was not the player of the game, he did have the best game of his 2008 Boston Celtics season. Rajon Rondo, the littlest man on the team came down with 8 rebounds, which is very impressive. Rondo also put up 25 points, his season-high score. Rondo passed off the ball and ended the game with 7 assists. He also stole the ball twice. This game was absolutely the best game I have seen since the World Championship game. If you did not see this game, you missed out on a lot of teamwork. The Boston Celtics do not play tonight, the 27th of November, but they do play Friday, November 28th, 2008 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
