Kenny Britt Injury: What His Absence Means to Titans Offense
Kenny Britt had established star-type credentials with a couple of 100-yard receiving games in Weeks 1 and 2, but that got derailed midway through the first half Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Britt had caught three passes from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck for 18 yards before he fumbled on a play where his knee gave way. The severity of the injury wasn’t immediately evident, but that injury, coupled with an ongoing hamstring problem, was enough to finish Britt for the day.
It was a swing pass that Britt caught before he was injured, the knee appearing to give out on him as he eluded a Denver tackler. He had to be carted off the field and was taken to the locker room for examination by the team’s medical crew.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Britt is the team’s playmaker, and without him, someone is going to have to step up to fill in in that position.
What that means for the rest of the day is that Hasselbeck will do more of what he likes to do anyway and spread his passes around. Through three quarters, he connected on 20-of-26 pass attempts, and nine different receivers had hauled in at least one.
Wide receiver Nate Washington, a seven-year veteran, has stepped up and has six catches for 69 yards, while Chris Johnson has been a little bit more of a deep threat with three catches for 51 yards.
Coming into the game, Britt, in his third year, had 271 yards—good for the lead in the AFC.
