NFL Picks Week 3: Predicting Score for Steelers vs. Colts Sunday Night Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers will defeat the Indianapolis Colts easily, by a score of 38-3. My prediction is not so much about the success of the Steelers, but about the struggles of the Colts. Indianapolis is overmatched in every phase of the game. This could get very ugly, very early.
Everyone expected the Colts to struggle without Peyton Manning. However, some expected them to play .500 football. While they faced some tough early season matchups, nobody could argue this is what .500 football looks like.
The Colts are struggling offensively and defensively. The defensive struggles are the most concerning, as they appear unable to stop anybody. They have continued to struggle against the run, allowing opponents to rack up yards on the ground.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Their inability to stop the run allows offenses to have long sustained drives, which limits the Colts' offensive snaps. This offense needs all the possessions they can get, as they are still adjusting to the quarterback change.
Kerry Collins has had a successful career, but is not capable of carrying a team on his back. At this point, he doesn't seem capable of leading a team to many victories. The issue at quarterback is exacerbated by the struggles in the running game.
Joseph Addai and Delone Carter have not been able to establish a strong running game. Of course, the lack of success in the passing game has impacted the running game. However, the Colts' offense needs to find a way to run the football.
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't open the season on a good note, but quickly rebounded against the Seattle Seahawks. They have another easy matchup, facing a depleted Colts team. They need to stick to their game plan and remain focused. It may be hard not to look forward to next week's game against the Houston Texans.
