Steelers vs. Colts: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More
Before the start of the season, a prime time match up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts sounded like a sight to see.
And then Peyton Manning had another neck surgery, throwing the Colts into disarray. Two weeks into the season, they have yet to right the ship, and may not be righting it for the rest of the year.
As for the Steelers, they're still pretty good. The question this year is whether or not they're good enough to make it back to the Super Bowl, and most agree that they are not.

At any rate, the Steelers and Colts are still set to do battle on Sunday night. Let's take a closer look at the match up.
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium
When: Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET
Watch: NBC (no DirecTV, which means no live video streaming)
Listen: Live audio streaming on NFL.com (minimum $9.99 payment); WDVE 102.5 FM/970 ESPN and Sirius 93 for Steelers, AM 1070 WFNI / 97.1 HANK FM and Sirius 92 for Colts.
Betting Line: Pittsburgh -11, according to Bodog.
What's at Stake?
Truthfully, there's not a whole heck of a lot at stake for the Colts. The evening will be a success if they can avoid embarrassing themselves in front of a prime time audience.
But don't underestimate the important of this game for the Steelers. If they are to be in the mix for the AFC North title at the end of the year, they can't look back on this game as a game that they should have won.
Steelers Injury Report
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is supposed to be okay after getting a scare against Seattle this past weekend, but defensive Brett Keisel might be a little too dinged up to play. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported on Wednesday that Keisel is questionable for Sunday night.
Colts Injury Report
We all know that Peyton Manning is not going to be playing on Sunday night, but the Colts have other injuries to worry about as well.
According to the Sporting News, the Colts could be without linebacker Gary Brackett (shoulder), guard Ryan Diem (ankle) and safety Melvin Bullitt (shoulder). Those aren't guys they want to be without against any team, much less the Steelers.
Fantasy Start 'Em: Rashard Mendenhall
Because Mendenhall has gotten off to such a slow start, you might be thinking about benching him.
Think again.
The Colts have struggled against the run for several years now, and that trend is continuing this year. Expect Mendenhall to have a big day.
Fantasy Sit 'Em: Joseph Addai
Addai has been just okay in Indy's first two games, but you shouldn't expect him to be any better against the Steelers. They may have gotten torched by Ray Rice in Week one, but the Steelers boast a very good rush defense.
Besides, it's not like they have to worry about Kerry Collins beating them.
Fantasy Sleeper: Isaac Redman
While you should definitely start Mendenhall, don't shy away from starting Redman too. He racked up 50 yards and a touchdown against Seattle, and should be in for more work if the Steelers commit to the run early against the Colts.
What They're Saying
In Pittsburgh, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote about just how important it is for the Steelers to keep Roethlisberger on his feet. If he keeps getting hit, bad things are going to happen:
""What if he does not get up the next time? If that happens -- and the odds seem to rise with every change in their offensive line -- the Steelers could look a lot like the team they play Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts."
"
Bouchette is stating the obvious, no doubt about that. But that doesn't mean it's not true. Without Big Ben, the Steelers just aren't a very good team.
Meanwhile in Indianapolis, Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star had an interesting collection of quotes from Colts fans to share. Upon reading them, it becomes clear that Colts fans are a realistic bunch.
Said one fan:
""This is going to be a long season. No doubt about that. We will be the worst team in the league and will have a losing season for the first time since Edge (James) went down with an ACL tear (in 2001). People keep pointing back to Peyton's first year when we went 3-13 and say it's going to be that bad this year. I disagree. It's going to be worse."
"
I agree, and I think the Colts do too. Why else would they be circling Andrew Luck?
Steelers Player to Watch: Troy Polamalu
Why should you be watching Polamalu on Sunday night? Well, aside from the fact he's one of the most exciting and best players in the NFL, no reason at all really.
Colts Player to Watch: Kerry Collins
I put Collins here pretty much because there are no better options. If the Colts are going to win, though, they need Collins to put the team on his back. That's asking a lot of a guy who has been with the team for barely a month, but that's just how it is.
Key Matchup
Keep an eye on how Pittsburgh's offensive line protects Big Ben. The Colts haven't put much pressure on the quarterback this season, but you always have to account for a guy like Dwight Freeney. If he can bother Big Ben, maybe the Colts can keep it close.
In the Hot Seat
For lack of a better option, I'm going to go with Jim Caldwell. Life is going to be tough for him as long as he doesn't have Manning, but Caldwell simply hasn't done much to dispel the notion that the Colts are Manning's team. He needs to inspire at least some life in his players.
Prediction
This one should be pretty open and shut. The Colts might give the Steelers a challenge, but I'm going to be very surprised if they do.
