LeBron James McDonald's Commercial: Watch Heat Star Make Fun of Himself in Video

Ethan NorofMay 31, 2018

The new McDonald's commercial featuring LeBron James is absolutely brilliant.

After a summer where James endured an unbelievable amount of criticism for his postseason play, the Miami Heat star has been oddly quiet during the NBA lockout.

Recently, James took a shot at himself regarding his receding hairline for the first time on his personal Twitter page.

Had a dream my hairline was back! Woke up and went to bathroom, turned on light slowly. Same ol story. Damn! Lol #wishfulthinking

"

You know the old saying: "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," and that's exactly the approach James decided to take with his hairline.

Now, he's doing the same thing with his NBA career.

When the Miami Heat's "big three" were introduced together on stage for the first time to the South Beach audience, James promised that they would win multiple championships in his infamous on-stage speech.

Well, the new McDonald's ad has James saying what everyone has been for a long time.

The narrator poses a simple question. What are the chances of James winning seven championships?

Before he can reveal how slim those chances are, James interrupts him with a simple, but necessary, "Come on, man."

It takes a big man to laugh at himself for prior mistakes, and James is using the extended time off from work to do exactly what should be done.

Re-inventing his image after a point where it hit the lowest he'd ever experienced.

These are just two instances where James has proven that he's able to laugh at himself, but it's a great start to a positive trend and will undoubtedly help in the most talented player in basketball gaining public support.
