Jamaal Charles Injury: Chiefs RB's ACL Destroys Team and Fantasy Owners Alike
Sunday was a day that a mountain of football fans would love to forget.
Chief fans and fantasy owners watched their season fall into a heap in front of the Lions mascot.
How are fans in Kansas City feeling?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This just in…the Chiefs are screwed.
OK OK, I know this is old news after watching them get outscored by a ridiculous 89-10 margin in two games.
ACL injuries haven’t been kind to KC, with both S Eric Berry and TE Tony Moeaki also falling victim…but it was Charles’ tear that makes you stick a fork in their season.
Charles was projected to be a top rusher in the league for the second consecutive year and was gong to get far more carries. He has the only TD for KC this season and was the catalyst to the No. 1 rushing attack from a year ago.
Now the Chiefs are stuck with an incredibly old Thomas Jones (who enjoys punching out teammates in his spare time) and Dexter McCluster, quite possibly the most fragile payer in the league.
Unless Jones can jump into a time machine back to 2005, the running game is ruined. Considering they have an incredibly mediocre QB in Matt Cassel that needs a strong running game to have any sort of success…. we may be looking at one of the worst offenses in the league.
What’s the ceiling on wins for the defending AFC West champs? Three? Four?
It’s a classic case of why success in the NFL can never be taken for granted.
Fantasy Owners Furious
He was your No. 1 pick, potentially even a Top Five selection overall.
Now he is worth absolutely nothing after one week of decent production and another with little.
While guys like Adrian Petersen and Ray Rice look like certified fantasy gold—you are debating between Roy Helu and Bernard Scott.
It’s a death wish to most teams that can now only be saved by some seriously savvy moves on the waiver wire.
So there you have it, in the span of five seconds on Sunday an entire NFL fan base and roughly one out of 12 fantasy owners saw their season go down the tubes.
The worst part of the NFL is the severity of so many injuries and how they rob us of watching the most talented players play.
Then again, fans of the Raiders, Broncos and Chargers are thrilled, as are most fantasy players out there.
Call it a double-edged sword.
