Kobe Bryant: Los Angeles Lakers Superstar Stutter Steps on Twitter

Matt FaulconerSep 8, 2011

Why Kobe, why?! Kobe Bryant got my hopes up by creating a Twitter account, but then proceeded to delete it within a matter of hours.

Sure I can get in the minds of LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony, but I want to know what the five-time NBA Champion is thinking, what he's doing, and of course who he's tweeting.

I want to know what Kobe thinks after losing a big game, or what he thinks after he hits a big shot, or if he says "Kobe" in his head before he attempts a game-winning shot.

Okay, I'm getting carried away, but seriously Kobe, what gives?

Why create a Twitter account after all this time just to tease us and delete it within a span of just hours?

Bryant was already up to 35,000 during just a few hours. He only tweeted once according to ESPN, the tweet read "Can you hear me now?!?!."

Well, I could hear you, but I can't anymore.

There was no apology, no explanation, just silence. Kobe left the Twitter world like Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston. We were devastated, confused, angry, and disappointed all at the same time.

I know, I took this too far, but seriously Kobe, I just don't understand your thinking on this one.

Whenever you decide to change your mind, again, Twitter will greet you with open arms.
