Denver Nuggets Moves Made This Offseason
After being involved in probably the biggest trade last season, it appears the Nuggets will have even more new faces in the upcoming NBA season (assuming the NBA lockout ends).
With four players making noise about their future plans, here is what has been happening in and around Denver this offseason.
If the Nuggets want to make another playoff run, they may need to keep the team together.
Kenyon Martin
1 of 4Kenyon Martin might be the most bizarre offseason “move” on this list. Martin hasn’t directly addressed his plans for next season, but fans were worried when it was reported that Martin had put his house up for sale.
Whether or not Martin is going anywhere is still uncertain. The Nuggets should hope to keep him.
Nene
2 of 4Here is some good news. Maybe? Nene, who is one of the NBA’s best free-agent targets this offseason, has said he is NOT going overseas if the NBA lockout continues.
That doesn’t mean he’s coming back to Denver, but it’s at least one scenario Nuggets fans don’t have to worry about. The Nuggets could really use him back next season.
Ty Lawson
3 of 4Recently it was discovered what Lawson’s plans are if the offseason continues.
Lawson is reportedly going to play in Lithuania for team Zalgiris Kaunas, a team that features former Nuggets guard Sonny Weems, Lawson’s old teammate.
Hopefully, the lockout ends before Lawson has to go overseas.
Wilson Chandler
4 of 4Chandler is the most recent of the players making noise.
Chandler reportedly has his eye on playing in China this summer and maybe further due to the current lockout.
He has a current offer for $1.7 million from a Chinese basketball team.
Will Chandler put pen to paper and go overseas? We’ll see.
