LeBron James Video: Watch King James Humbled by Taiwanese Baller
Like so many NBA superstars these days, LeBron James has found there to be no shortage of opportunities to stay in shape while showing off his game...or embarrassing himself instead.
Rather than getting posterized by Jordan Crawford at a summer basketball camp, James chose instead to take his talents abroad, though he still couldn't quite avoid a similar situation from unfolding, this time at the hands of one of his Taiwanese competitors.
The King took his traveling lockout roadshow to an All-Star game in Taipei, though initially only as the coach of the White Team. However, with his team down 24-22 at halftime, James took it upon his rather bulky shoulders to carry his team to victory.
That is, until No. 31 on the Red Team shows LeBron that expanding his brand into the Asian market is no simple task. First comes the steal at half court, followed by the dunk over a trailing James, who makes a feeble attempt to block his foe from behind.
Then, for good measure, No. 31 comes right back after LeBron fumbles away an overly fancy pass in the paint and hits a three-pointer from the left wing right in the King's eye.
Which, of course, brought back memories of all the times LeBron failed to connect in crunch time during the 2011 NBA Finals.
Perhaps the Miami Heat, with their shallow and cash-strapped roster, should look to sign this kid from Taiwan if/when the league and the players finalize a new collective bargaining agreement.
Though, if this video is any indication, the folks back in Taipei might want more than just LeBron James in return for their own budding star.
